Hi there.

My name is Isabel Juby and I am very excited to announce that I will be keeping you up to date with all the news from The Lodge over the coming months. I would like to say a huge thank you to Feline Fields for inviting me join the team and I can’t wait to get involved. I am also particularly flattered that I was asked to announce my blog as an ‘exciting new treat up our sleeve’ – no pressure.

Getting the Call

When I first got the call from The Lodge‘s architect, Alwyn, offering me the opportunity to blog for Feline Fields, I jumped at the chance. I had seen Alwyn’s plans for the building and heard him speak so enthusiastically about the place so I couldn’t get the words ‘Yes I’ll do it’ out of my mouth quick enough.

Photoshoot

Marjan emailed a selection of photos from the recent shoot so that I could get an idea and visualise The Lodge in its stunning surroundings (as if I needed convincing).

Janania Matarazzo

The pictures featured are captured by the wonderful Janania Matarazzo. Janania is originally from Brazil and now lives in Botswana. She is the perfect candidate to shoot for Feline Fields as she came to Botswana to combine her passion for wildlife conservation with photography.

Stunning Artistry

She has the ability to draw out the obvious, but also the subtle beauty of places, with the clicks of her camera. An incredible touch of artistry has gone into every shot bringing The Lodge and its surroundings to life and transporting you there.

Sweet Serenity

I cannot wait to step into the scenes myself and experience the true essence and tranquility of the place. I am very lucky that Alwyn will be accompanying me on my first visit to The Lodge and I will be able to pick his brains about the stunning architecture.
